FAQ

Questions about competitor monitoring

What pages can Probes monitor?

Any public web page: pricing pages, feature lists, homepages, changelogs, landing pages and docs. Paste the URL and Probes starts watching. You don't need selectors, scraping rules or a browser extension.

How often does Probes check for changes?

Daily by default, and you can set a custom check schedule for each page. When something changes you get one summary email covering every competitor. If nothing changed, you won't hear from us.

Will I get alerts for timestamps and other noise?

No. Probes ignores timestamps, rotating banners and other content that changes on every visit, so alerts only cover real changes to text such as prices, features and headlines.

How are changes explained?

AI reads each text change and summarises what it means in plain English. You also get a side-by-side comparison with removed text struck through and new text highlighted. Layout change tracking is coming soon.

Can I get alerts in Slack?

Yes. Slack alerts are included in the Pro plan. Every plan includes email alerts.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The Free plan monitors one page with email alerts, forever, and you don't need a credit card. Pro covers 20 pages, Slack alerts and 200 AI chats a month.
